The Great Dane combines, in it's regal appearance, dignity, strength and elegance
with great size and a powerful, well formed, smoothly muscled body."
-The Great Dane Club of America on breed standard
When beginning our program we sought out what we felt were some of the best genetics
available in the country. We owe a special thank you to Gail True of True Danes for
allowing us to bring a couple of her girls into our home, as well as for her assitance
and continued mentorship. With her help we will make the best possible choice of a stud
to produce the caliber of Great Dane that we are striving to produce.
Although we are not ready to enter the show ring ourselves, our goal is to produce the best
pet and show quality Great Danes in terms of confirmation, temperment and longevity.
Genetically, produding harlequins is the most difficult/infrequent of all color patterns.
In the process there are several other color pattern outcomes, only two of which are
considered "show colors". The other non-show marked puppies still possess the quality of
the show marked dogs, but have only one purpose. which is to be the best pet/companion
many households will ever experience.
